Buying Books at Symposia

Browse our shelves in person or search our online inventory of used books listed through Amazon and other marketplaces.

Books on Our Shelves

The books on our shelves are a reflection of what the Hoboken community reads, shares, and passes along. Symposia does not purchase books for resale; our in-store collection comes entirely from community donations..

Our shelves are organized into sections such as History, Children’s Books, Spirituality, Philosophy, Self-Help, Poetry, Fiction, Young Adult, Biography, Cooking and Art. We also carry CDs and DVDs.

Come visit, browse, and see what has recently arrived.

Books Listed Online

A smaller section of our inventory is not placed on the public shelves. These books are cataloged, organized, and stored separately for online sale, mostly through Amazon.

You can browse this collection from your phone by scanning the QR code provided above. If you are using a computer, you can access the same collection through the browsing link on this page.

These books are part of Symposia’s inventory, but they are stored separately from the books available for in-store browsing.
